Amy B. Trosino

For the past two years, Trosino has been developing her Shapemaker series into small pen and ink drawings that invite the viewer to look even closer for hidden meanings in the detail.

Inspired by microbiology, Trosino illustrates life on a cellular level. Each drawing, whether it be a self-portrait, published illustration, or personal work, is itself a cell containing its own particular environment striving for balance.

This series contains small 4x6 inch studies for Trosino's larger Shapemaker drawings.

In January 2011, Trosino created Under Observation, a zine that is an ongoing bi-monthly series containing entries and images from her original calendar journal. It's purpose is to foster awareness of life, humanity, and the importance of living one's true nature.
